Photograph Shows Life on Mars?

The Times has an article about an amazing image captured by one of the Mars rovers, stirring new debate about whether there's life on Mars. It appears to show a cowled figure striding across the lunar surface, or is it just a strangely shaped rock?

Interview with Dan Aykroyd

There's an interview with Dan Aykroyd in The Guardian today. He's basically promoting his new film but is pretty in-your-face to the journalist with his belief in UFOs. Interestingly, he claims he's seen some himself around his home in Martha's Vineyard.

Jacques Vallée to Appear on Coast to Coast

Jacques Vallée will appear on the popular radio show Coast to Coast AM on Monday, September 17. This is great news. Vallée is one of the most interesting figures ever to have studied UFOs. He drew interesting parallels between modern UFO reports and folkloric tales of demons and hobgoblins. You can read a bit more about him and his views in an article I wrote here.

Vallée, on whom the character Lacombe from the film Close Encounters was based, walked away from ufology many years ago after becoming disenchanted with the direction it was taking. Since then, he's generally avoided talking about it, except in occasional interviews in his native France. I'm really looking forward to hearing what he has to say. I just hope George Noory is on his game for the night and manages to ask some decent questions, and that the callers don't bombard him with idiocies.
